Camp Idlewild is located in Surry County, Virginia and has been winning the hearts of young people for Christ for the past 50 years, since it was first lovingly carved out of a farm and forest. It’s not fancy facilities or an idyllic location that makes kids and families love Idlewild. It’s the tendency of this old camp to foster loving relationships that makes it so special. Those who come as campers or as staff leave filled with joy and enduring memories.

Idlewild usually conducts three to four weeks of children’s camps each Summer, divided by age groupings. The annual scheduled camp sessions, with their age groupings, directors and sponsoring congregations are usually posted in the spring of every year. We invite other churches or groups to book the Camp facilities to conduct their own camps during August each year.
