Another beautiful morning at Idlewild. The bacon is frying, the coffee is brewing (second pot) and the campers are just beginning to come up for the cabins. God is good.

We’re at Canteen. Canteen is code for loading the kids up with sugar before we send them to bed. If this sounds crazy, it is. But it’s camp. We’re having a great week!

We’re playing the camp favorite game, Capture the Flag. 45 minutes of explaining and negotiating the rules and 15 minutes of shock and awe.

The campers are doing crafts each day. Our cracker-Jack team of craft teachers are keeping them busy and entertained. Today the craft involves grout (or maybe gout, we’re not sure). We are sure it will be fun!

Idlewild is a swinging place. And don’t work about the camper at the top of the swings; he’s the nurse’s kid.
